Cottage Cheese Flatbread: A 3-Ingredient Internet Sensation Put to the Test

Every once in a while, a recipe sweeps across the internet so fast you can’t scroll without seeing it. For the past few months, that recipe has been cottage cheese flatbread - and my mom and I decided it was time to see what all the hype was about.


Spoiler alert: it’s totally worth it. 🤯


We’re talking a soft, slightly chewy, protein-packed wrap made with just three ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. It’s naturally gluten-free, endlessly customizable, and so simple that you’ll wonder why you haven’t been making it for years.

The 3 Ingredients You’ll Need


For one large wrap, you’ll need:


  • 1 cup cottage cheese

  • 1 egg

  • Seasoning of choice (everything bagel seasoning, salt & pepper, Italian herbs - get creative!)

Optional but recommended: 2-3 tablespoons shredded fresh Parmesan. It adds a delicious salty richness that takes this flatbread to the next level.



How to Make Cottage Cheese Flatbread

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Blend the cottage cheese and egg until completely smooth. You can use a blender, food processor, or even an immersion blender.

  3. Season the mixture to your taste - don’t be shy! Everything bagel seasoning is a winner, but garlic powder, herbs, or even chili flakes can totally change the vibe.

  4. Pour the mixture onto your parchment-lined baking sheet and spread into an even circle or rectangle (about ¼ inch thick).

  5. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the flatbread is set and lightly golden.

  6. Cool completely before peeling it off the parchment - this helps it hold together.

  7. Fill & enjoy! We stuffed ours with sliced chicken and leftover salad for an easy lunch.

Our Final Verdict

We went into this recipe curious and maybe just a little skeptical. But one bite in, my mom and I looked at each other and said, “Okay… this is actually amazing.” The flatbread is soft yet sturdy, full of flavor, and ridiculously satisfying.
